The quick-release coupling has been specially developed for safe and efficient use with gas... more
The quick-release coupling has been specially developed for safe and efficient use with gas cylinders and meets the requirements of G 607. It offers a robust solution with innovative safety features: Quick release of the cylinder hose in an emergency: In an emergency, the hose can be disconnected quickly and safely to prevent uncontrolled gas leakage. Prevention of refuelling when the hose is disconnected: An integrated non-return valve ensures that gas can only flow when the hose is correctly connected. The ALUGAS quick-release coupling must be installed in future for new installations as well as in existing systems as part of the G 607 gas inspection.

Installation: The quick-connect coupling must be fitted directly to the multi-valve of the TRAVELMate cylinder, between the inlet nozzle and the LPG filling hose.

Features:High-quality materials for maximum corrosion and temperature resistanceErgonomic design for easy handling and installationMechanisms to prevent accidental disconnectionCompatible with standard filling hoses and connectionsApplications:All approved gas cylinders with separate filling and dispensing connections. Technical data: Material: Brass Weight: 225 g Total length: 94 mm Multi-valve connection: 3/4” UNF female thread Filling hose connection: 3/4” UNF male thread Non-return valve: integrated Read also our article GAS CYLINDERS - NEW REGULATION

Safety and warning notices

General safety instructions

To be used only by trained specialist personnel: Work on gas pipes or couplings must only be carried out by qualified specialists.

Check before use: Check the quick-connect coupling for damage, wear or dirt before connecting it. A defective coupling must not be used.

Avoid improper use: Use the coupling only for the intended gas cylinders and filling lines. Tampering with or modifying the coupling is strictly prohibited.

Ensuring a tight seal: Carry out a leak test after every installation or use to prevent gas leaks.

Specific warnings

1. Mechanical risks: Warning: Ensure that the coupling is fully engaged before filling the cylinder. An incorrectly secured hose may come loose during operation and lead to gas leaks.

Note: If there is unusually high mechanical resistance, do not force the coupling open or closed.

2. Thermal risks: Warning: The coupling must not be operated outside the specified temperature range (-20 °C to +60 °C), as this could impair its function and weaken the material.

3. Malfunction of the non-return valve: Warning: Check the function of the non-return valve regularly. If the valve does not close properly, there is a risk of a gas leak when disconnected.

Note: If the non-return valve is defective, the quick-release coupling must be replaced immediately.

4. Accidental disconnection of the hose: Warning: Always use the retaining clip to prevent the hose from becoming accidentally disconnected.

Note: Check the function of the retaining clip regularly and replace it if damaged.

Maintenance and inspection instructions

Regular inspections: Check the quick-release coupling at least every 6 months for visible damage, material fatigue and the functionality of all moving parts.

Check seals: Replace seals if they are brittle, damaged or worn. Use only spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.

Functional tests: Test the quick-release mechanism and the check valve regularly to ensure that both are working correctly.

Cleaning: Clean the coupling using only mild detergents. Do not use aggressive chemicals, as these may damage the material.

Emergency measures in the event of malfunctions

Gas leak: Stop refuelling immediately. Remove the coupling and replace it with a tested unit.

Defective quick-release device: Secure the tank immediately and do not continue to use the coupling.
